How to Read Arc Liquidity and Volume
Interpret Arc DEX liquidity, trading volume, transaction counts, price observations, and data freshness without treating estimates as executable quotes.
Liquidity and volume answer different questions
Liquidity estimates the indexed value available in a pool at its observed state. Volume totals qualifying swaps over the displayed rolling window. High volume can occur with shallow liquidity, and deep liquidity can exist with little recent trading.
Use the Arc DEX Screener to compare both columns instead of ranking a market by one number alone.
Check the quote asset and timestamp
USD values depend on a reliable conversion path and can be unavailable for long-tail assets. Price and liquidity can also have different observation times. Pending means unavailable, not zero; stale means the last known value may no longer describe the pool.
Use activity and age as context
Transaction counts show how many indexed swaps contributed to a window. Pair age shows when the pool identity was first observed. Neither metric proves organic demand, token legitimacy, or the price a new order would receive.
On a pair page, compare buys and sells, recent swaps, fee configuration, price impact context, and the full pool identifier.
Verify unusual moves at transaction level
Open Big Swaps for large decoded trades, then follow the transaction evidence to ArcScanner. The swap-activity guide explains what the feed includes and excludes.
